You should go out and see him live; he is up there for the hardest working man in Cape Cod music by playing almost every night of the week.
Well done Josh, thanks for inviting me out and letting me be part of the gang. See you at the Mayflower Brewery in Plymouth on Friday, Jan 30.

Girl from North County
Josh Ayala performed “Girl from the North Country” by Bob Dylan. Josh does an amazing job on this Bob Dylan song. He loves Bob Dylan and mentions covering him in his bio. I personally think Josh‘s voice is better and you can actually hear and understand all of the lyrics of the song which is a rare treat. Josh of course, does the song in his own style but it’s certainly a Bob Dylan cover just different.
Annie's Song
You have never heard Annie’s Song played like this. I had to look up the lyrics several times to make sure I was on the right song. It is that interesting, fresh and unique. Josh just leans into what he’s feeling and makes everything sound good. He’s like the Candyman of songs. This one is no exception. He is a local legend and Cape Cod hero and plays absolutely everywhere so just follow his page to see which venue is convenient for you.
Whiskey & Vinyl & Gypsy Tales
Josh has a plethora of original music that is available for download. I love this original song because it reminds me of waiting for hurricanes in Louisiana. Whiskey and vinyl, what else would you possibly need. He also performed other original songs, one called Gypsy Tales. That is awesome as well. You can go to Spotify or the streaming services and hear it now, it is equally awesome.
Save Me
This is another original song by Josh that certainly was a crowd Favorite. He puts his heart and soul into it just like he does on every song. He is the consummate live performer and you absolutely have to go see Josh or the Dirty Water Dance Band live to get the full experience and the camaraderie. The band will be playing on January 30 at 7pm at the Mayflower Brewing Company in Plymouth. You need to make the trip out there, I guarantee you it will be so worth it and it’s free.
Crazy Love > Tupelo Honey
MUST LISTEN as Josh does a fantastic mashup of these classic Van Morrison tunes. He has a unique style and is always surrounded by a cast of characters and followers. Josh heavily influenced by the music and poetry of Bob Dylan, He gives listeners an uncommonly authentic guitar and vocal style that uses his warm baritone vocals and unique arrangements to breathe new life into the vintage covers that range from folk and Americana to rock and old school country. Josh has become a Cape favorite; utilizing his warm voice and introspective lyrics to win over fans.
Up On Cripple Creek
This song shows perfectly Josh‘s ability to take any classic and make it his own. He has a beautiful voice, great guitar and harmonica playing, and he will stylize lyrics and makes them his. Another unique feature about Josh is the cast of characters that comes specifically to hear him play. I felt like I was in a cool Brewster fraternity where all you had to do was walk in and be friendly. Everybody chats you up and they sing along to the music and you have a great time.
Rockstone
Another original and staple show closer, especially at Laurino's. The ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW of home grown songwriting. Crowd participation welcome.
