Rich Marvin was out and about covering your favorite Cape Cod bands, like usual.

On Friday, 06 Feb 2026, Mr Marvino found a good spot right in front of Bounce as they belted it out in Laurino's bar.

Here's his track by track breakdown - watch the video for a hint of what you'll get when you see them live.

Footloose by Kenny Loggins:

So Abi has all the right Footloose dance moves from a movie that came out decades before she was born. I love that because it shows that she did her homework. My other favorite part of this song is that Rob simultaneously plays guitar and keyboard. Who does that? Rob does!

Love Shack by the B-52s:

This song features, Abi and Rob and Cooper the drummer, sharing the lead in a spirited performance. Bounce consists of “the powerhouse vocals of Abi Wilfong, soaring guitars by Michael Byrne, dynamic harmonies and grooves of Rob Cushing on bass and keys, and the driving rhythm of Cooper Bennett on drums.”

I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick:

This song features Michael Byrne playing a mean electric guitar solo and Cooper banging out some great rhythm on drums and Rob doing a pounding bass. Of course, Abi keeps it all together with her vocals, but this one is really a total band effort and shows you the versatility and musicianship of each of the members.

Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams:

Rob sings lead on this song and does a great job. He is the glue that holds this band together and a veteran that served our country, a parent and also a rockstar. This band is tight, awesome to watch perform and one of the top draws on Cape Cod. You would do yourself a favor and be a hero if you hire them for your venue, your party, your event and anything else. Cape Codder’s helping Cape Codder’s, it’s what we do.

Two Princes by Spin Doctors:

MUST LISTEN as Abi transforms this normally mellow song into her own hard rocking driving style. Of course the band is pounding along with her and they take it to a whole new level. That’s one of the most interesting things about this band and the fact that they can take any audience to that next level makes them a huge draw wherever they play. This night it was tailored to Laurino‘s Tavern and they fit right in. Of course everybody fits right in at Laurino’s Tavern if you have the right attitude. So go ahead now!

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World:

MUST LISTEN as Bounce puts the bounce into what should probably be their signature song. They really make this one rock and it’s a total band participation. The thing that really comes across is how much fun they are all having. When the band is having fun, the audience is having fun and it’s contagious. One of the great things about Bounce is they can play for any audience and their song repertoire can be shaped for whoever they’re playing for. That’s a pretty good skill for a band you should want to hire.

Linger by The Cranberries

Zombie by The Cranberries:

My favorite part of this song is that Abi has the zombie moves going on. She is rocking side to side just like a zombie, would and simultaneously encouraging the band to rock and they are rocking. She also has all of the hand gestures going on which creates a really good zombie visual. It might just be in my head, in my head, in my head.

Mr. Brightside by The Killers:

Everybody plays this cover, but only Abi has a hand sign for every verse. It’s just fun as heck to watch and of course the singing and band playing is first rate. If you are looking for something to do on Cape Cod on one of these cold winter nights, you should go see Bounce, and you should also go to Laurino’s Tavern. Two of our greatest natural resources.

Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan:

MUST LISTEN as Bounce does this anthem Abi style. She is a relentless hard driving rock singer so this one is just how she likes it. It’s not like other cover versions, it’s better. Bounce consists of “the powerhouse vocals of Abi Wilfong, soaring guitars by Michael Byrne, dynamic harmonies and grooves of Rob Cushing on bass and keys, and the driving rhythm of Cooper Bennett on drums.”
