A delightful blend of traditional French baking and contemporary bistro dining. Founded by Chef Philippe Rispoli, the establishment is renowned for its artisanal breads, pastries, and classic French dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The bakery is open daily, serving an array of handcrafted goods, while the bistro, known for its prix fixe menus will open and close seasonally. The bistro has earned a reputation for its warm, inviting atmosphere, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors seeking a taste of France on Cape Cod. The wait for the bakery can be rough but it’s the best bread in the area by far. There are also discounts for paying with cash. If you’re putting in an order over $35, you can call ahead and pick up - a good move for sure.
Ocean side, vibrant and popular destination known for its lively atmosphere and breathtaking coastal views. The beach is a hotspot for both locals and tourists, offering a mix of scenic beauty and social activity, particularly around The Beachcomber, a famous beachside bar and restaurant. The towering sand dunes and expansive shoreline make it a great spot for sunbathing, swimming, and people-watching. However, the steep and sandy descent to the beach can be tricky, especially with gear. Despite this, Cahoon Hollow is a must-visit for those looking for a fun and active beach experience on Cape Cod. Widely celebrated for its vibrant, beachside atmosphere and lively vibes. The stunning views of the ocean and the casual, fun environment that makes it a popular spot for locals and tourists. The food, especially the seafood and burgers, is fresh and tasty. The ‘comber is seen as a must-visit destination for its unique location and enjoyable experience. The parking lot down the street has been known to host to a good-spirited, drunken backseat (or frontseat) makeout. If you’re driving through, mind your business, but if you’re in the market for a heater, welcome home.
One of the most popular seafood spots, known for its fresh, high-quality offerings, including a well-regarded sushi menu. The restaurant features a relaxed, coastal atmosphere with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, making it a spot for tourists and residents. There will occasionally be out of pocket local swine who will bang on the tables or try to walk out on the bill after they’re turned down (again) by the waitress but, overall, it’s a great spot. Standout dishes include their "lazy" butter-poached lobster and a variety of creative sushi rolls. The casual, yet refined vibe combined with outdoor seating options make it an ideal place to enjoy Cape Cod's culinary delights during the summer months
Ocean side, picturesque and serene spot known for its wide stretch of soft sand and striking views of the Atlantic Ocean. It's a favorite among locals and visitors for swimming, sunbathing, and long walks along the shore. The beach is family-friendly, offering a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere compared to some of the busier spots in the area. The dunes provide a stunning backdrop, but the steep descent to the beach may be challenging for some. Behind the dunes around the kettle ponds that border South Truro and North Wellfleet is where Cape Cod Modern Architecture was born. It’s an incredible walk and some of those homes are available to rent for your stay from the Cape Cod Mid Century Modern House Trust. 10/10 highly recommend. Ocean side, strikingly beautiful part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, known for its dramatic cliffs, expansive sandy shoreline, and powerful Atlantic surf. The beach is popular for the scenic views, making it a great spot for photography, beachcombing, and observing wildlife, including seals. The wide beach provides plenty of space for sunbathing, walking, and enjoying the ocean, even during peak season. Access to the beach involves descending a steep staircase, but the stunning natural scenery and serene atmosphere make it well worth the effort. [YES PARKING PERMIT, NO BEACH FIRES]
Cozy and charming restaurant housed in a historic 1750s building. Known for its creative seafood dishes, such as lobster gnocchi and perfectly shucked oysters, the restaurant is a local favorite, especially after recent changes in ownership which folks say has elevated both the food and service. The atmosphere is enhanced by a fireplace and an extensive wine list, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed yet refined dining experience. It's particularly popular for both its indoor and anticipated outdoor dining spaces.
